It is made in the UK and is suitable for vegans.
Important note on supplements
This article is for general information only and isn’t medical advice. YourBiology SuperGreens is a food supplement and it’s not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet or a healthy lifestyle.
If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, have a medical condition (especially thyroid issues) or you take medication, it’s sensible to check with a GP or pharmacist before using a greens powder. If you need to monitor iron or iodine intake, or you’re sensitive to caffeine, check the label carefully first.
If you notice any unwanted effects, stop using it and speak to a healthcare professional.
Ingredients of YourBiology SuperGreens
The ingredients list is long - in a good way!
Specifically it contains: soluble fibre (sugar beet), wheat grass powder (gluten free), spinach powder, wild yam powder, spirulina powder, apple fibre pectin powder, matcha green tea powder, acerola powder, beetroot extract, sweetener (steviol glycosides from stevia), emulsifier (sunflower lecithin), grapeseed extract, ferrous fumarate, zinc citrate, nicotinamide, manganese citrate, retinol acetate, calcium pantothenate, copper citrate, riboflavin, thiamine, folic acid, potassium iodide, sodium selenite, biotin and methylcobalamin.
As you can see it contains a wide range of plant ingredients, plus added vitamins and minerals. I break down what each one is below.
The only ingredient I don’t love is the natural sweetener stevia which gives it an overly sweet taste. This is a personal position though and it is widely used and considered safe to consume.
Benefits of YourBiology SuperGreens
This blend combines plant powders, fibre sources, vitamins and minerals that contribute to daily nutrient intake. Any benefits will depend on your overall diet and the amounts provided per serving.
Below is an overview of how the listed ingredients are generally understood to relate to normal physiological functions.
Gut health
Soluble fibre (sugar beet) – contributes to fibre intake, which supports normal bowel function.
Apple fibre pectin powder – a source of soluble fibre. Soluble fibres can be fermented by gut bacteria and can help support normal bowel function.
Wheat grass powder (gluten free) – provides plant material and fibre.
Spinach powder – provides plant micronutrients and fibre.
Sunflower lecithin – provides phospholipids, which are structural components of cell membranes.
Antioxidant support
Spirulina powder – contains naturally occurring pigments and other compounds.
Matcha green tea powder – contains polyphenols (including catechins).
Acerola powder – a source of vitamin C.
Beetroot extract – contains naturally occurring plant compounds.
Grapeseed extract – contains polyphenols.
Wild yam powder – a botanical ingredient included in some greens blends.
Vitamin C (from acerola) – contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and contributes to normal immune system function.
Riboflavin (vitamin B2) – contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Manganese (from manganese citrate) – contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Selenium (from sodium selenite) – contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and contributes to normal immune system function and normal thyroid function.
Zinc (from zinc citrate) and copper (from copper citrate) – both contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Energy metabolism and cellular function
These vitamins and minerals have well-established roles in normal energy metabolism and related functions:
Nicotinamide (vitamin B3) – contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and the maintenance of normal skin.
Calcium pantothenate (vitamin B5) – contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and normal mental performance.
Thiamine (vitamin B1) – contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and normal nervous system function.
Riboflavin (vitamin B2) – contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism.
Folic acid (vitamin B9) – contributes to normal blood formation and normal cell division.
Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12) – contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal red blood cell formation and normal nervous system function.
Biotin (vitamin B7) – contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and normal macronutrient metabolism.
Retinol acetate (vitamin A) – contributes to the maintenance of normal vision and normal immune system function.
Immune support and nutrient replenishment
Ferrous fumarate (iron) – contributes to normal oxygen transport in the body and normal energy-yielding metabolism.
Zinc citrate (zinc) – contributes to normal immune system function.
Potassium iodide (iodine) – contributes to normal thyroid function and normal cognitive function.
Copper citrate (copper) – contributes to normal immune system function.
Dosing
The dosing guidelines are to take one scoop with 200-300ml of water. And to not exceed 3 scoops per day.
You can also add a scoop to smoothies or mix with food.
Appearance
As the picture below shows, once it is mixed it has a very dark green, almost black colour.
Mixing
I found that it mixes well and easily, and there’s only a fine grittiness from the powder.
Flavour
The aroma is mostly of green tea with seaweed characteristics.
The taste is minty and of green tea predominantly. It is also fairly sweet from the stevia. It is surprisingly easy to drink considering I was expecting it to taste like green sludge ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Overall, it’s easy to take, the taste is good, but I wouldn’t want it any more sweet.
Money-back guarantee
A bonus of YourBiology SuperGreens is that they offer a ‘no questions asked’ 60-day money back guarantee if you’re not satisfied. All you have to do is email them.
Cost of YourBiology SuperGreens
YourBiology SuperGreens is a premium, broad spectrum supplement, so I wouldn’t expect it to be cheap.
Prices vary from country to country so it’s best to check their website for current offers.
Would I recommend it?
I’d recommend SuperGreens if you want a convenient way to add a mix of plant ingredients plus added vitamins and minerals to your routine.
Personally, I like having it as a simple ‘backup’ option on days when my diet is less varied than I’d like. I don’t treat it as a substitute for eating well, but as an easy way to top up my intake alongside my normal meals.
And given the money-back guarantee they offer, it definitely seems like something worth trying to see if you like it.

Factors we consider in our ratings
The factors we consider when doing a review (and the weightings of each of these) may vary depending on the product we are testing, but here are the key general factors we consider when we settle on a rating for a product.
Evidence and authorised claims
We explain what’s in the product and what the evidence actually supports. Where it’s relevant, we stick to authorised nutrition and health claim wording and we link to reputable sources so you can read further if you want to.
Potential downsides and who it may not suit
We flag ingredients or features that may be a drawback for some people, even if the product suits others. This can include sweeteners, additives, caffeine, high sugar, allergens, unusually high doses of certain nutrients, or anything else worth considering before you buy.
How it’s made
This will vary depending on the product, but we want to see a quality process for making it and quality ingredients. For example, we want to see a kombucha traditionally fermented with lots of different microbial strains and we want to see a yoghurt made with fresh milk and not milk powders.
Price
While we expect quality products to be more expensive, they still have to be priced within reason. On the other side of things, a product which is priced very competitively will get a ratings boost based on the value it provides.
Flavour
For some products flavour won’t be a factor (eg probiotic tablets), but for others, like yoghurt or kimchi, flavour is a key aspect because these products are made to be enjoyed as well as being healthy! We will try to be as subjective as possible and describe the flavour in detail so you can get an idea of whether you would like it or not.
